Unburnt (March 14 - 28)

Jelena Sinik and Nicolette Axiak's collaborative artworks 'Forever or for Now?' (2020) and '1896 hours' (2024) were invited for display at the 'Unburnt' group art show at Northern Beaches Gallery in 2026.

Curated by Daniel Press, the show features Jelena and Nicolette's sculptural and animated pieces exploring the  2019-20 Black Summer Bushfires with the works of fellow artists Mei Zhao, Giulia Glazer, Kristine Capistrano and Daniel Press. 

​

Unburnt brings artefacts from the Beacon Hill Rural Fire Brigade and art that explores themes about service, renewal and community. The intention of the show is to raise money in support of the RFS. ​

​

The exhibition sells individually framed paper flowers from Nicolette's and Jelena's large-scale installation artwork with profits donated to the RFS.
