Japan, 20 days, 20 seconds
Japan, 20 days, 20 seconds
This is a 2D Animation created in 2015 as part of a Master of Animation course.
The film covers 20 days in Japan over 20 seconds, dedicating 1 second per day. The concept of the film explores the visualisation of the unique and chaotic energy of Japan and the intersection of its old and new worlds.
The film was created as a response to the Global Studio elective, which entailed travelling to and experiencing Japanese culture.
The visual style of the piece reflects minimalism in the linework, design and colour practice as learned through exposure to Japanese art.
