Jelena was commissioned by UNSW to direct and animate a short film under the theme of student wellbeing and mental health. The film was written in consultation with the Black Dog Institute.

Jelena handled the storyboarding, background illustration, animation and Art direction of the film. She also collaborated with Nicolette Axiak on the 2D character animation, compositing and editing of the piece.

The intention was to create an animation for online and on-site UNSW campus lectures that aims to encourage people to recognise and react empathetically to the mental health struggles of their peers and friends.
