Wild Deserts Project
Jelena worked on a series of projects for UNSW in her term as the Alumni Artist in Residence 2023.
She created these artworks of beloved Australian species for the UNSW Wild Deserts Project. This special initiative relied on donations to rewild vital Australian species and bring back life to the arid regions.
The artworks were designed for both web and print and sent via mail to encourage donations and support for the cause.
Festive Greeting Card
Jelena was commissioned to illustrate the 2023 UNSW festive greeting card. The Platypus card recognises UNSW Centre for Ecosystem Science's Platypus Conservation Initiative. This hand illustrated digital artwork was completed as part of Jelena's Artist in Residence placement.
The colour palette and charming illustrative quality here creates a sense of magic and wonder, in a very Australian setting.
